Led by John Hirst on drums, this band is strong on interpretation – Blue Pearl is a Bud Powell version of a Cole Porter song, and this quartet have taken the whole mood of Powell and Parker to a different level. One to watch with Chris Young, sax; David Ferris, keys; James Banner, bass.
